Profile of CCCEA
Canada-China Culture and Education Association (CCCEA) is a registered non-profit organization established in 2007. It is one of the recognized partners of the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Our projects include:
- Promoting Canadian education and providing free counseling services to students who are interested in furthering their studies in Canada.
- Plan and organize summer camps in Hong Kong and Canada to foster cultural exchange for students and teachers from these two places.
- In partnership with education bureaus and universities in Canada and China, we have developed different exchange programs for Chinese and Canadian school principals and teachers.
- Since 2009, the CCCEA in collaboration with Partners Education Foundation, and the York Region District School Board co-organized the “Sichuan English Teacher Professional Development Program” . This program has trained over 1,800 English teachers in China as of August 2013. Supporting organizations include UNICEF, Air Canada, the Ministry of Education of Sichuan Province and the Education Bureau of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
